美国印第安纳大学金赛研究所的喜瑟·罗普证实这项研究结果。她说：「男性注意异性脸部的时间远比女性长，两者注意异性性器官的时间大致相当。研究结果显示，女性最注意哪些部位取决于体内荷尔贺的状态。如果正在服用荷尔蒙避孕药，女性比较注意性器官，否则比较注意照片中的环境因素。」

Study leader Heather Rupp, from the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction at Indiana University, said: "Men looked at the female face much more than women and both looked at the genitals comparably.
