We are looking for ambitious graduates (m/f) to develop their career in Shanghai, China via our Young
Professionals Asia Program for positions in R&D, Technical Service Management, Production and
Customer Account Management.

Coatings Young Professionals Program China (m/f)


What you can expect:
We offer you a flexible program for Young
Professionals and recent graduates tailored to your
talents, qualifications and your desired future
position. For a duration of 12-18 months you will be
based at the BASF Coatings headquarters in
Muenster (Germany) before starting your career at
BASF Coatings in China. During this time you will
have the opportunity to prove your abilities and
gain experience by taking up temporary positions in
different operational or corporate units and in
challenging projects worldwide.

This offers you the chance to become familiar with
the variety of our worldwide company operations
and to prepare yourself for taking up your target
position at BASF Coatings in China after 12-18
months. Target positions are being offered in R&D,
Technical Service Management, Production and
Account Management. Your employment will be
based on a contract with BASF Coatings in China.

What we expect:
We are looking for self-starting, committed
candidates who will enjoy working with business
and technology interfaces and continually develop
the company through their commitment. You have
a higher degree with achievements above average,
especially:
- Master's degree in technical fields (such as
Chemical, Process, Mechanical,
Electrical or Application Engineering)
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry,
Physical Chemistry
- Master's degree in commercial and business
fields with a technical background
You show impressive educational achievements,
relevant industrial placements and a high
intercultural orientation. In addition to your good
negotiating skills in English, you are fluent in
Chinese and your knowledge of German is
preferably at least intermediate. Your flexibility and
mobility makes your application perfect
