科学家以眼球检测技术研究一般人看到系行性感照片时最注意的重点。他们原以为女性对脸部较有兴趣，男性注意的焦点是性器官，结果却几乎完全相反。男性比女性更易于注意异性的脸部，再将视线移至身体的其他部位，女性则花费比较多的时间凝视男女交欢的图象。) l5 ~4 W) N0 R' ~

美国印第安纳大学金赛研究所的喜瑟·罗普证实这项研究结果。她说：「男性注意异性脸部的时间远比女性长，两者注意异性性器官的时间大致相当。研究结果显示，女性最注意哪些部位取决于体内荷尔贺的状态。如果正在服用荷尔蒙避孕药，女性比较注意性器官，否则比较注意照片中的环境因素。」$ d; F( P( ^& x  B/ Y

此前公布的其他相关研究报告指出，欣赏性感图象时，男女两性的大脑活动方式互不相同。前述研究报告呼应这项结论。

Scientists used eye-tracking technology to pinpoint what people looked at when shown a series of sexy photos.
They expected women to be more interested in faces, and men in genitals. * T- u* |- Q3 l

Men were more likely than women to linger on the face before diverting their attention to other parts of the body.   W) _# k' i  v4 J

Women also spent longer looking at images of couples performing sexual acts. ! j( d. {! c: c7 {& n8 b

Study leader Heather Rupp, from the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction at Indiana University, said: "Men looked at the female face much more than women and both looked at the genitals comparably. / v, b; W  b0 n* U4 ?; U

"The eye-tracking data suggested what women paid most attention to was dependent on their hormonal state." : |, q, C- |) H6 \/ j4 |, X( f

The findings were reported in the journal Hormones And Behaviour.
