Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again.

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. 1 t; w: E9 b- s

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure.

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." ) r' B9 c8 h3 J: e& n

: A! z) L. i# h, s' K5 EMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 5.35.249.643 y3 n' |: |2 m5 ^

To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house.

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children.

5 w, }: ^' w8 j% G) V1 j/ C$ z8 LMr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight.

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way."
