Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. ! A/ b/ t5 H0 d

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. 5 I% ~5 z1 k( w. b0 l; Z

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum.

In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months.

% J0 B' T- {5 t* r4 u$ Q: IThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset.

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta.

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. 9 K' G6 F! ]' y1 G

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure.

5 P$ d0 X6 g' J"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now."

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. & S0 c) Q" p  k

. x. b$ [' m4 I7 jTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house.

They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 7 R5 Q+ ]$ Y) m  `" F0 I

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. 6 m: O* K6 n- w- L4 \

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight.
